If you are looking for Exmoor
accommodation why not choose picturesque Dunster village, which is ideally placed near the moors and the coast.
Take a trip on the West Somerset
Railway from Dunster station just one mile away, or visit Dunster beach with its 200 quaint wooden chalets built in the 1930s. One of Dunster’s main attractions is the castle that was the home of the Luttrell family for over 600 years until 1976 when it was presented to The
National Trust. |
In addition to the castle there are a variety of historic buildings including the yarn market, church, dovecote, tithe barn and a working water mill. Come and explore its narrow lanes and streets with their pretty thatched cottages and interesting shops. Two art galleries with resident artists and a potter can also be found. Dunster has a good selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes all within walking distance of Conygar
House.
| Walking on Exmoor is one of the main reasons that visitors come to this area. Books and maps can be found at the Dunster Visitor Centre next to the main car park. Exmoor Park staff are on hand to help you plan your days out.
The house is non-smoking but guests are welcome to use the garden or gazebo.
